    Noctua NH-D9L & NH-D12L chromax.black CPU Coolers Review

INTRODUCTION                   Even though AIO liquid CPU coolers are the go to choice for most enthusiasts, gamers and even professionals there's no denying that over the years CPU air coolers have proven to be the more reliable, worry-free choice. Granted, they may not look quite as good and depending on the model they may not play well with tall RAM modules but at least when it comes to cooling efficiency...

FSP Hydro Ti PRO 850W ATX 3.0 Power Supply Unit Review

INTRODUCTION                   With just a few months left before NVIDIA and AMD officially announce their upcoming GeForce and Radeon graphics cards it just might be the right time for people with older generation power supply units to look for one of the latest ATX 3.0/3.1 & PCIe 5.0/5.1 compliant ones. As I've mentioned in past reviews already even though consumers may actually have a hard time finding a bad...

ANACOMDA I4X Fiery Serpent 2TB M.2 NVMe SSD Review

INTRODUCTION                       Even though things are not still great when it comes to the release of new PCIe 5.0 Gen5 SSDs (primarily due to supply chain issues which in turn result in increased costs for manufacturers) PCIe 4.0 Gen4 models still represent great value for money, as they should really. Yes, on paper Gen4 models may not be as impressive as their Gen5 brothers but with read/write speeds surpassing...

Artillery Genius Pro 3D Printer Review

INTRODUCTION                     3D printing may not be quite perfect yet in terms of available materials and even speed but it's getting there and let's be honest about it, it's a very useful technology both for professionals and consumers alike. For people taking their first steps in 3D printing what comes first is to decide which printing technology is ideal for them and well, that comes down to detail,...

SAPPHIRE Pulse AMD Radeon RX 7600 XT 16GB OC Graphics Card Review

INTRODUCTION                           If you grew up in the 90’s and specifically when both ATI (now AMD) and NVIDIA were taking their first steps in the 3D card arena (among others) then it’s no secret that things were much simpler back then. Granted, we had just a few games we could actually use one of the “state of the art” 3D cards with but with just a few exceptions (3DFX compatible games) any card you got could play any...

Taipei, Taiwan—November 13, 2012—Synology® today launched RackStation RS10613xs+, an enterprise-class NAS server with ultra-high performance of 400,000 read IOPS and robust scalability of up to 106 drives, plus multiple layers of reliability for service continuity.

The RS10613xs+ supports SAS/SATA 6G interface and SSD drives, and is scalable up to 424TB capacity when connected with eight RX1213sas expansion units. Powered by Xeon® Quad Core 3.3 GHz CPU and 8GB ECC RAM upgradable to 32GB, RS10613xs+ reaches more than 2,000 MB/s read throughput in RAID 5 via supported dual 10GbE connections. Additionally, the implementation of SSD cache technology optimizes its performance of random read-intensive workloads, increasing reading IOPS by over 50%. The built-in AES New Instructions further accelerate encryption performance and strengthen data security.

“The immense expandability and superior performance make the RS10613xs+ an ideal storage solution for growing businesses that prefer incremental investments,” said Rosiel Lee, product manager of Synology Inc. “At less than half of the prices of traditional enterprise-class storage solutions, RS10613xs+ makes no compromise on reliability by providing a suite of availability features,” added Lee.

Synology High Availability seamlessly transfers services of the unavailable server to its surviving partner in the cluster without any noticeable interruption to its services. RAID group and proactive global hot sparing protect data against disk failures. To ensure optimal system uptime, both RS10613xs+ and RX1213sas expansion units come with redundant power supplies and system fans, and are connected with one another via dual data transmission.

These redundancy mechanisms work in tandem with the upcoming Synology Replacement Service Europe (SRSE) to reinforce the level of data protection. In the event of unexpected component failures, SRSE provides timely service to keep the system running by shipping replacement products the next business day. Moreover, the RS10613xs+ offers storage solutions for major virtualization servers by taking the lead to achieve certifications of Microsoft® Windows Sever 2012 with Hyper-V and VMware® vSphere 5 VAAI, as well as supporting Citrix® XenServer environment.

The RS10613xs+ runs DiskStation Manager (DSM) 4.1, the operating system of every Synology DiskStation and RackStation. DSM 4.1 provides rich features to boost productivity and simplify tasks, all on a sleek interface optimized for multitasking. Synology has received numerous media accolades. RS3412(RP)xs received “Recommended” award from Noticias3D.com and won “NVR Excellent” award at Secutech Exhibition.
