American Megatrends, Inc. (AMI) today announced it will showcase its StorTrends® 3500i solid state disk (SSD) storage appliance available in a hybrid and/or all-flash configuration, and its StorTrends iDATA™ IT Infrastructure Assessment Tool during the upcoming Indianapolis VMware Users Conference, taking place on July 31, and at the Atlanta Conference, taking place on September 25, 2014.

IT professionals attending the VMware Summit will see how the StorTrends 3500i is uniquely optimized to support VMware ESXi and vSphere, Microsoft Hyper-V, Citrix Xen and Red Hat RHEV, among others – delivers solid state (SSD) caching, tiering and automatically tuned volumes capabilities within the same array for dramatic enterprise performance and reliability at an extremely affordable price point.  In addition, attendees will learn how the StorTrends iDATA tool can assess their organizations entire IT environment to analyze capacity utilization, IOPS usage, reads vs. writes for volumes, network bandwidth, performance, server statistics and more to classify the amount of “hot data” and “cold data” required in their virtualized environments. The free StorTrends iDATA tool* allows enterprises to accurately develop a short and long-term storage strategy while eliminating the need to overprovision costly storage resources.

“Flash-based storage systems offer clear and significant performance benefits over traditional hard disk drive (HDD) storage systems for virtualized environments, but in many cases have been cost prohibitive for many enterprises,” said Justin Bagby, director of the StorTrends Division at American Megatrends.  “Our storage arrays are the most cost-effective and least disruptive way to deploy solid state flash, or hybrid storage to provide the ultimate combination of extreme performance, high availability and scalability to meet critical application requirements at extremely affordable prices.”
