ZON is intended to cover the full range of ZyXEL business products including security gateways and firewalls, switches and wireless access points (AP) using a single powerful front-end management interface. Some of the essential components of the ZON application include:

• AP Configurator (ZAC) utility that enables centralized configuration of Wi-Fi AP settings, including SSID, security, and access management
• ZyXEL Smart Connect enables different ZyXEL devices to share configuration information. Smart Connect allows auto-discovery of neighboring devices, remote viewing of their management interface, as well as power cycling and remote factory reset. Smart Connect, when used with ZyXEL’s extensive range of PoE switches, will provide an instant reading of power draw per port, and allows powered devices to be reset to factory settings
• In addition to ZyXEL devices, the Smart Connect feature also works with LLDP (Link Layer Discovery Protocol) enabled devices from any manufacturer
