HARMAN (NYSE: HAR), the premier connected technologies company for automotive, consumer and enterprise markets, will join leading automakers at the 2015 Los Angeles Auto Show debuting the latest vehicles that feature HARMAN branded audio systems and technologies. With the industry’s strongest roster of audio brands including Harman Kardon, JBL, Infinity, Mark Levinson, Revel, Lexicon and Bang & Olufsen, HARMAN’s technology and audio innovations will be on display throughout the Los Angeles Convention Center, demonstrating the company’s industry-leading commitment and longstanding partnerships with global automotive OEMs.

Groundbreaking Individual Sound Zones Technology Featured

This year, HARMAN is offering an interactive demo of its award-winning Individual Sound Zones (ISZ) technology. Unveiled at CES 2015, ISZ creates sonic zones between individual cabin areas, enabling the driver and passengers to personalize their audio experiences with limited disruption or interference from other vehicle occupants. HARMAN’s ISZ solution is the ultimate car audio upgrade, allowing riders to have complete control over their listening preferences through simultaneous, in-car entertainment systems. Attendees of the Los Angeles Auto Show Press Days can experience the technology for themselves in an ISZ demo vehicle located in Gilbert Lindsay Plaza during the Green Tech Ride & Drive on November 19 starting at 9:30am PT.

New HARMAN Systems and Technologies Continue to Raise the Bar for Car Audio

HARMAN’s history and reputation as a trailblazer in audio innovation extends to its direct collaboration with automaker partners to design and engineer best-in-class premium audio systems across vehicle segments and price points. Many of these vehicles and systems will be spotlighted at this year’s Los Angeles Auto Show, including:

Lincoln + Revel

The rollout of Revel premium audio exclusively in Lincoln vehicles continues with the introduction of the new Lincoln MKZ sedan, which will offer two levels of premium audio – a 14-speaker Revel system and a 20-speaker Revel Ultima system. Both Revel audio systems feature HARMAN’s next-generation, multi-dimensional QuantumLogic surround sound technology. Powered by a class-A/B and class-D hybrid amplifier, the Revel Ultima system also adds proprietary Clari-Fi™ music reconstruction technology, which rebuilds sonic information lost in the compression process to bring a high-fidelity listening experience to any digital music source. Revel’s cabin correction acoustics provide every passenger in the new Lincoln MKZ an immersive musical experience like never before.

Lexus + Mark Levinson

The beautifully redesigned 2016 Lexus RX features an upgraded 15-speaker Mark Levinson premium surround sound audio system, enhanced with HARMAN’s innovative Clari-Fi music reconstruction technology and Automatic Sound Levelizer (ASL) technology.  This premium sonic experience has been carefully designed and strategically tuned throughout the vehicle cabin. Powered by a 10-channel class-D amplifier, the 835-watt audio system delivers superior quality audio to every seat in the vehicle for the driver and passengers alike.

BMW + Bowers & Wilkins, Harman Kardon

BMW will highlight four new vehicles that expand its longstanding partnership with HARMAN and the company’s Harman Kardon and Bowers & Wilkins audio brands. The all-new M4 GTS coupe, the 330e GT plug-in hybrid and the newly redesigned X1 Sports Activity Vehicle® will all offer class-leading Harman Kardon premium audio systems, while the all-new flagship 7 Series sedan features the debut of the Bowers & Wilkins Diamond Surround Sound System.

Mercedes-Benz + Harman Kardon

Mercedes Benz is debuting the renamed GLS, the largest luxury SUV in the Mercedes-Benz lineup. The flagship utility vehicle features a 14-speaker Harman Kardon audio system with Logic 7® technology, delivering a superior, three-dimensional sound experience to complement the Mercedes-Benz brand. System highlights include the most powerful class-D amplifier in the Harman Kardon lineup at 830 watts. Logic 7 technology creates an authentic listening experience inside the vehicle so music can be enjoyed as the artist intended.

Audi + Bang & Olufsen

This year, more than half of Audi’s vehicles on display at the Los Angeles Auto Show will be equipped with the most sophisticated audio solutions from Bang & Olufsen.  Among the most innovative demos to be showcased will be the Bang & Olufsen 3D Advanced Sound System for the Audi Q7. The 23-speaker system is powered by Bang & Olufsen’s class-D BeoCore amplifier and delivers over 1,900 watts of efficient power. The system’s patented ALTs (Acoustic Lens Technology) provides a 180 degree sound dispersion and incorporates newly redesigned tweeters that have been updated for the Audi Q7.

Aston Martin + Bang & Olufsen

In the Aston Martin showcase area, attendees will be able to experience firsthand Bang & Olufsen BeoSound systems that have been acoustically and physically matched to Aston Martin vehicle models. From the industrial design elements to the custom sound performance, the BeoSound systems effortlessly enhance the outstanding vehicle power and supreme balance, handling and ride that are hallmarks of Aston Martin.

Toyota + JBL

Several new Toyota vehicles on display at the Los Angeles Auto Show will offer JBL premium audio with GreenEdge™ technology, which delivers twice the performance with half the energy consumption of traditional audio components. These include the all-new Prius and RAV4 hybrid vehicles along with the brand-new Toyota Mirai fuel cell vehicle.  Advanced components and innovative design means JBL GreenEdge audio components weigh less and take up less space in the car, with no compromises to volume or sound authenticity.

Hyundai + Infinity

In addition to upgraded technology, convenience and safety features, the completely redesigned 2017 Hyundai Elantra will, for the first time, offer an eight-speaker Infinity premium audio system featuring HARMAN’s award-winning Clari-Fi music reconstruction technology.

Kia + Harman Kardon

The 2017 Kia Sportage enters the market with a bold new look, along with a premium audio system from Harman Kardon.  In addition, the Harman Kardon system in the Kia Sorento is comprised of Clari-Fi music reconstruction technology and eight speakers, offering unrivaled audio quality within the fast-growing compact SUV segment.
