Amped Wireless, the leading manufacturer of high power, long range wireless solutions, today announced that it has been named a CES 2017 Innovation Awards Honoree in two different categories, for two separate solutions. Products entered in this prestigious program are judged by a preeminent panel of independent industrial designers, independent engineers and members of the trade media to honor outstanding design and engineering in cutting edge consumer electronics products across 28 product categories.

Amped Wireless took home honors in both Computer Peripherals, as well as the Smart Home category. The new ALLY System was awarded in the Smart Home category, while their next innovation and soon-to-be announced Wi-Fi Range Extender took home the second honoree credits.

ALLY is a Whole Home Smart Wi-Fi System. It is the first seamless roaming solution with blazing-fast Wi-Fi speeds, MU-MIMO technology and whole-home coverage with award winning, high power technology. The ALLY systems reach up to 15,000 square feet of secure coverage.

Built with the digitally-connected family in mind, ALLY features intelligent parental controls that make online parenting easy and safe. Through ALLY’s customized user profiles, parents can manage and limit access to selected content, websites or apps. Additionally, parents can monitor and segment a child’s screen time, review an activity log, pause Internet service and even set a curfew schedule for their Internet use.

Parents can also feel at ease knowing that devices on their network are protected by AVG security products, now a part of Avast, the global leader in digital security products for businesses and consumers. Customers can download the ALLY app and help safeguard devices from malware by activating built-in web protection and real-time monitoring of network traffic. ALLY’s security features, parental control options and iOS and Android apps are built on Chime, Avast’s smart router platform.

“Being named a 2017 Innovations Design and Engineering Awards Honoree is another great achievement for our team,” said Jason Owen, VP of Networking at Amped Wireless. “ALLY is one of our proudest innovations to date, so we are honored to be recognized. We are excited about these awards and look forward to announcing the second Honoree at CES 2017.”

“Partnering with Amped Wireless to create the ALLY system has demonstrated the huge need for security in an IoT world and this award is great validation of our research in this area,” said Ondrej Vlcek, Chief Technology Officer, EVP & GM Consumer for Avast. “As more devices are connected to the home network, it makes sense to add security at the point of connection rather than by device. Not only does this give users back control, but it provides manufacturers like Amped Wireless with the potential to add on valuable services like smart parental controls. We’re excited to see what the future holds for ALLY and for the Chime platform.”

The prestigious CES Innovation Awards are sponsored by the Consumer Technology Association (CTA)™, the producer of CES 2017, the global gathering place for all who thrive on the business of consumer technologies, and have been recognizing achievements in product design and engineering since 1976. Products chosen as CES Innovation Honorees reflect innovative design and engineering in some of the most cutting edge tech products and services coming to market.

Amped Wireless’ ALLY System will be displayed at CES 2017, which runs January 5-8, 2017, in Las Vegas, Nevada. It will also be on display at CES Unveiled on January 3rd, from 5pm-8:30pm at Mandalay Bay, South Pacific Ballroom in Las Vegas. There are ALLY solutions for both small-medium sized homes, as well as medium-large sized homes, and everything in between. ALLY is priced at $199.99 and ALLY Plus at $379.99 – both are available and shipping to customers now. For purchase information and additional details visit ampedwireless.com.
