INTEL CORE I9-9900K TEST RIG SHOWCASE – MAY 2020

My latest test rig based on the Intel Core I9-9900K CPU (overclocked at 5GHz) is finally complete.

The rig is housed inside a Dark Base Pro 900 Rev.2 (courtesy of be quiet!) full tower which provides ample space for even the largest hardware components.

The I9-9900K is paired with the EVGA Z390 DARK motherboard which should provide a stable overclock and reduced temperatures.

An Alphacool Eisbaer 420 AIO (3x140mm be quiet! fans) is used to cool the 8-core/16-thread power hungry CPU by Intel.

Of course, all test rigs currently use the brand new NT-H2 thermal paste by Noctua.

For the PSU I chose the high-performance Straight Power 11 Platinum 750W again from be quiet!

The EVGA NU Audio Pro was paired with the rest of the system to provide rich, clear and accurate sound.

The KC2000 1TB M.2 NVMe SSD by Kingston and the Ballistix Gamer 64GB 3200MHz DDR4 kit by Crucial complete the configuration (an MSI GeForce RTX 2080 Super will be added later on).
