Celebrating the unsung everyday office heroes who, without formal  training, added salary, or title, continually defy the bounds of their normal  job duties to rescue colleagues that have fallen victim to everyday office computer chaos, Crucial.com is asking the public to honor their own office  computer superstar by nominating them at www.CrucialSuperstar.com for a chance to win $5,000 cash, a $5,000 BestBuy.com gift certificate for the  office in addition to the title of America's Official Unofficial Office Computer Go-To Superstar.

Saluting those who go above and beyond to protect their  coworkers from unrelenting blue screens of death,  spinning beach balls and hourglasses, vanishing computer files, system crashes,  and other office computer-induced crises, nominations are being accepted at www.CrucialSuperstar.com through April 15th. Nominees have a chance to win  $5,000 of their own as well as an additional $5,000 technology upgrade through  BestBuy.com for the winning office. To nominate a superstar, just complete the  online nomination form and upload any supporting photos/videos to help make the  case for why a co-worker or colleague is deserving of the title.

All  nominee submissions will be reviewed by Crucial.com judges and the nominee with  the most compelling story will be awarded. Winners will be announced on May 1,  2013, a day that serves as a "May Day" for computers, but is also officially  unofficially deemed as Official  Unofficial Office Computer Go-To Superstar Day.  Visit www.CrucialSuperstar.com for official rules and entry details.  Open  to US residents only, no  purchase necessary.

"When a file goes missing, they are there. When a computer screen goes blue, they are there.  When a co-worker is unable to print, they are  there. When email is down, the internet is slow, or a computer freezes up, it  is these self-trained individuals that are called upon by their colleagues when  an official IT person is not available," said Roddy Mclean, Crucial.com  director of marketing. "They may be the person sitting next to you, the person working  in the department downstairs, or the one sorting the mail, but regardless of  their official duties, when it comes to taking on the office computer problems,  these superstars are deserving of the title, Official Unofficial Office  Computer Go-To Superstar."

In addition to nominating a colleague for the title of Official Unofficial Office  Computer Go-To Superstar, visitors to www.CrucialSuperstar.com will  also find downloadable ringtones, sharable badges, images and memes, honorary  certificates, video outtakes and more.
