To be eligible for consideration, products or services must have been introduced or significantly updated since January 2023. With hundreds of well-qualified submissions from manufacturers across every segment of the industry for consideration, selecting top products was no easy task for the Boating Industry editorial team. The winning products were chosen based on many factors such as their impact on the industry, innovation and how they advanced their category.

JBL JAM5000N is a mid-level marine audio source unit designed for multi-element environments and engineered to meet the demands of extreme conditions while satisfying the performance requirements for marine audio consumers in this price range. The design is intended to integrate seamlessly into any boat design with an elegant and brand-specific look that is capable of being mounted either in the traditional front mounted or can be back mounted for a cleaner smooth dash finish.

The 2.8-inch color sunlight viewable TFT, IP6 rated marine audio source unit has easy to use controls and an intuitive user interface. At $399, it is robust offering unprecedented value with four channels of RMS power output at 25Wrms. The JBL JAM5000N marine head unit supports multiple audio sources – Bluetooth, USB, AM/FM/WB, and is DAB+ ready. No other head unit at this price point has features such as three zones with each zone including three channels of right, left and subwoofer output, NMEA 2000, and an input for a rear camera.
