EIZO Corporation (TSE: 6737) today introduced the DuraVision SGX0031 Streaming Gateway box – a high-performance transcoding and distribution solution designed to meet the demands of live video monitoring in security, transportation, and industrial environments.

As digital transformation accelerates across industries, the volume and complexity of visual data is growing rapidly. In environments such as airports, city surveillance, and industrial facilities, the rising number of cameras and the need for uninterrupted, real-time monitoring make bandwidth and scalability critical concerns. To address these challenges, EIZO has introduced the DuraVision SGX0031 Streaming Gateway box to efficiently transcode and distribute live camera feeds.

Built on over a decade IP decoding innovation, the SGX0031 is designed to operate seamlessly within EIZO’s IP ecosystem. It transmits video from multiple IP cameras simultaneously, delivering clear, real-time images to EIZO’s IP decoding monitors and box solutions for operator viewing. Supporting both RTSP and SRT protocols, the SGX0031 ensures stable and reliable transmission, even over networks with limited bandwidth or intermittent connectivity.

IP video transmission is inherently bandwidth-intensive. When handling multiple camera streams, the cumulative data load can quickly overwhelm standard network infrastructure. The SGX0031 addresses this with Merge Mode – a uniquely engineered capability that consolidates up to 32 simultaneously camera feeds into a single tiled video stream output. This significantly reduces network load without compromising video quality, offering a level of efficiency that transforms how visual data is managed.

An additional low latency mode is designed to offset delays from the extra processing time needed to re-encode multiple streams in Merge Mode, reducing latency by approximately 75%. This enables near real-time display even when handling multiple video feeds, making it reliable for high-response applications such as remote operation of equipment and machinery in construction, infrastructure maintenance, and other environments where timing and precision are critical.

In Relay Mode, the SGX0031 processes incoming video streams and redistributes them to designated viewing environments, offloading transmission tasks from the cameras and optimizing overall system performance. This is especially valuable in large-scale deployments where network reliability is paramount.

The SGX0031 is interoperable with over 300 cameras, including 4K cameras, with ONVIF® Profile S, AXIS® VAPIX®, Panasonic, and i-PRO protocols. Users can register up to 48 cameras, making it a flexible solution for diverse operational needs.

EIZO is committed to reducing its environmental impact by transitioning away from plastic and other environmentally unfriendly materials in product packaging. The SGX0031 ships in eco-conscious packaging made from recycled materials.
