EIZO Corporation (TSE: 6737)  today introduced the DuraVision FDF1683WT – a 15.6-inch touch panel monitor with Full HD (1920 x 1080) resolution designed to meet the diverse needs of industrial environments and embedded system integration.

The FDF1683WT features highly responsive projected capacitive (PCAP) touch technology with support for 10 simultaneous touch points, enabling intuitive multitouch operation and collaborative input. In settings where gloves are commonly worn, such as manufacturing lines, system control interfaces, and healthcare facilities, maintaining touch responsiveness is essential. The monitor reliably detects input through thin gloves, ensuring consistent performance across these demanding environments.

The monitor supports stylus-based handwriting and smooth gestures such as dragging and flicking, making it suitable for applications that require refined interaction. A built-in palm rejection feature ensures that only intentional touch input is recognized, allowing users to rest their hands on the screen while writing without triggering unintended actions.

EIZO’s existing PCAP touch monitor lineup includes 23-, 21.5-, and 17-inch models. The new 15.6-inch wide-format model offers Full HD (1920 x 1080) resolution, which displays approximately 2.6 times more information than XGA (1024 x 768), while maintaining a footprint similar to other 15-inch monitors. This makes it a practical solution for delivering high detail in limited-space environments.

Industrial devices often need to be integrated into custom enclosures, machinery, or public-facing terminals, requiring adaptable mounting solutions. To meet these varied installation needs, the FDF1683WT is available in three configurations: a desktop stand model, a standless version for mounting with VESA-compatible arms or wall fixtures, and EIZO’s first open frame model designed specifically for embedded system integration. Open frame combines the benefits of panel-mount and chassis-mount designs, supporting front-side and internal mounting for seamless integration into kiosks, control panels, and enclosed industrial systems.

The monitor is available in both AC and DC power models. The DC power models support a wide input range of DC12-24V, ensuring compatibility with diverse power configurations.

For the first time in the DuraVision series, the FDF1683WT is available in white in addition to classic black, providing customers more flexibility to match their device aesthetics.

EIZO continues its commitment to sustainability by using over 84% recycled plastic in the monitor’s housing and adopting eco-conscious packaging materials, helping reduce environmental impact and promote resource conservation.
