Sony will be debuting two new additions to its DWZ range at this year’s ProLight+Sound festival in Frankfurt, extending the product range to cater for wind instrument musicians and guitarists using rack-mount systems. The DWZ-B50I is designed to suit wind instrument musicians, featuring the ECM-GZ1UBMP high quality cardioid condenser microphone with a flexible gooseneck two-way clip for trumpet, saxophone, or other wind instruments. The DWZ-B50GB features the ZRX-HR50 robust metal body rack-mountable receiver and Cable Tone Generator, making it suitable for guitarists and bassists who use rack-mount cases.

The DWZ-B50I and DWZ-B50GB feature the series trademark 24-bit linear PCM digital transmission for pristine audio and have a wide audio frequency range, as well as two selectable RF modes using Sony's unique data processing for reliable RF transmission and Wi-Fi coexistence. These additions expand the DWZ range to six affordable and highly flexible packages, all combining ease of use and high quality sound, ideal for use by musicians, or in education, corporate AV or houses of-worship.

“These new additions to the DWZ series builds on Sony’s extensive wireless expertise to deliver the highest levels of performance” said James Leach, European Marketing Manager for Professional Audio, Sony Europe. “These packages are ideal for wind instrument musicians and guitarists who are looking for small to mid-size wireless audio applications that combine outstanding sound quality, stable transmission, performance and durability.”

Visitors to ProLight+Sound are invited to come and see the new additions to the DWZ range for themselves at Stand B40, Hall 8. As well as the new DWZ series, a range of Sony’s professional audio solutions will be available for visitors to experience, from leading edge digital wireless systems such as the DWX Series, to analogue wireless microphone packages in the UWP Series.
