Intelligent NAS is a software designed by Thecus to offer inexperienced users an all-in-one  application to manage and access everything that comes with their NAS. It can  run on Windows as well as on Mac systems and lets the user have his NAS-system  up and running with some mouse clicks within 5 minutes.

Intelligent NAS will take care of all the  standard procedures that are needed to setup a NAS-system without the need of  additional software. It detects and installs all hard disk drives that are  connected to the NAS and sets them up in a RAID  array automatically. Furthermore it takes care of mounting the NAS-drive to the user’s system. So that it is  immediately visible for the user as soon as the setup is complete. The NAS will  be available online as well after the setup with an own domain. To make sure  that the user’s NAS will always be available under the same domain, Intelligent  NAS has the ability of managing the so-called Dynamic Domain Name Server (DDNS): even if the specific IP-address  of the NAS changes, it is still possible to access it through the same domain  with the help of DDNS.

Intelligent NAS is exclusively available for Thecus® products. Both the Thecus®  N2520 as well as the Thecus® N4520 are compatible with Intelligent NAS in order  to simplify the setup-procedure of the user’s NAS so that he can enjoy its  functionalities faster and without the need of consulting various manuals  beforehand. They also are equipped with a HDMI  output so that the media stored on the NAS can directly be enjoyed on TV.
