QNAP® Security, a professional manufacturer of Linux-embedded, standalone Network Video Recorder (NVR) solutions, announced that its VioStor Pro and L-Series NVRs have been certified ImmerVision Enables, the 360-degree video standard.
Designed exclusively for security applications, the VioStor NVRs feature server-grade video storage with up to 48TB, and embedded VMS software with support for up to 64 IP cameras, delivering remarkable local display performance in a stand-alone network appliance. With the ImmerVision Enables certification, viewing functionality has been enhanced, offering VioStor NVR users intuitive navigation directly within undistorted 360-degree live and recorded panomorph video.
Users can also remotely connect to the VioStor NVRs, review recorded video spanning 360x180 degrees, and digitally zoom into a scene to make more informed decisions. Hardware flexibility is also offered through a greater number of VioStor NVR-compatible panomorph cameras.
“QNAP keeps pace with next-generation innovation, and the ImmerVision Enables certification is a reflection of this,” said Joel Schaffer, Product Manager at ImmerVision. “Having QNAP’s impressive storage capability combined with ImmerVision Enables 360-degree functionality gives customers a superior solution for their longer-term video recording needs.”
“We are happy to collaborate with ImmerVision and provide users with additional 360-degree viewing solution, other than with fisheye cameras,” said Andrew Yu, Product Manager of QNAP Security. “With the ImmerVision Enables certification, users can easily monitor views spanning 360x180 degrees, smoothly browse areas within the 360-degree panomorph viewing, and digitally zoom into details of monitoring area, all without ever losing the full hemispherical recording.”
