D-Link today announced it is sponsoring the “Swing 4 for the Cure Wojo PH Golf Classic” on Monday, July 29, 2013. The annual charity golf tournament raises money to help support the ongoing research of the Pulmonary Hypertension Association (PHA), and will be held at the Aliso Viejo Country Club in Aliso Viejo, Calif.
“We are very excited to have D-Link joining us as a sponsor at this year’s tournament,” said Betty Lou Wojciechowski, founder, Swing 4 the Cure golf tournament. “PAH is a serious disease and it is because of companies like D-Link that this event has been able to raise over $200,000 in research funds since 2008.”
The Swing 4 the Cure tournament is held in memory of Jerry Wojciechowski and his two sons, who lost their battle with Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension (PAH), a blood vessel disorder that affects people of all ages and causes high blood pressure in the arteries of the lungs that can lead to heart failure. The PHA is the leading organization connecting PH patients, families, and medical professionals and exists to find ways to prevent and cure pulmonary hypertension, and to provide hope for the pulmonary hypertension community through support, education, research, advocacy, and awareness.
“It is with great pleasure that we are supporting this local golf tournament that helps provide vital resources to the Pulmonary Hypertension Association and raise overall awareness of the disease,” said Albert Ling, executive vice president, D-Link Systems, Inc. “At the heart of the D-Link company, we are people caring about people, and this is illustrated no better than at an event like Swing 4 the Cure.”
