American Megatrends Inc. (AMI), a leader in BIOS, remote management and network storage innovations, is pleased to announce its participation at SPS IPC Drives 2013 in Nuremberg, Germany, from November 26 through November 28, 2013. AMI will be located in booth number 8-408 of the Nuremberg Messe, hosted by the Embedded Solutions group of AMD, for the duration of this year’s SPS IPC Drives event.

SPS IPC Drives is Europe’s leading exhibition for electric automation, covering all segments of the industry, including control technology, drive systems and components, human-machine interface devices, industrial computing, communication and software, interface technology, electromechanical components and sensor technology. Suppliers of automation technology from around the world will gather to promote the latest products, trends and innovations within the industry during the trade fair and adjoining conference.

At the event, AMI will present its MegaRAC® XMS Client Management Solution, which now features support for the Desktop and Mobile Architecture for System Hardware (DASH) standard from the Distributed Management Task Force (DMTF) to provide remote, out-of band management of AMD-based embedded platforms.

DASH support in MegaRAC XMS extends to the recently announced AMD DE3 DASH implementation, designed by AMD’s Embedded Group specifically for embedded systems. Systems that implement this low-cost implementation, along with a DASH-compliant Ethernet controller from Realtek, can expect a worry-free introduction to the world of platform management. These three components have been demonstrated to work seamlessly together - producing a platform management solution which completely meets the specific needs of embedded systems.

MegaRAC XMS provides customizable, complete 360-degree visibility of network attached devices for collaborative management from hardware to application level. Its “single pane of glass” centralized remote manageability of system hardware health, along with asset management and host provisioning make MegaRAC XMS the solution of choice for enterprise-level device management to embedded systems.

“AMI is pleased to have the opportunity to showcase MegaRAC XMS at SPS IPC Drives at one of the world’s key events for embedded and automation solutions,” said Subramonian Shankar, President and CEO of American Megatrends. “We believe that our client management solutions with DASH support for AMD embedded platforms will generate significant interest at the event and are looking forward to providing live demonstrations of this technology to guests during the conference.”
