Dell Software today announced that Dell Boomi has been selected as the winner of the 2014-2015 Cloud Award in the Platform as a Service (PaaS)/Middleware category. With awards for excellence and innovation in cloud computing, the cloud computing awards program accepts entries from across the globe, including the U.S., Canada, Australasia and EMEA. Now entering its fifth year, entries are accepted from organizations of any size.

"The Cloud Awards program gave us the opportunity to showcase the customer and technology momentum we have achieved over the years," said Chris McNabb, general manager of Dell Boomi. "With Dell Boomi, customers can create, manage and monitor integrations across their environment, whether in the cloud or on-premises, and gain substantial productivity benefits. Our technology patents and one-of-a-kind, single-instance, multi-tenant platform helps customers achieve faster time to value than competing solutions. For Dell Boomi to come away as a winner reflects our ongoing commitment to our customers and to innovation in our integration Platform as a Service (iPaaS)."

Cloud Awards organizer Larry Johnson said: "Reaching just the shortlist stage is an incredible achievement, but Dell Boomi has shown it’s got what it takes in this incredibly competitive Cloud ecosystem. It was great to see submissions and eventual winners from Europe, Australia, Asia–and it goes to show the truly global nature of our Awards program. That’s something that has been unmatched for the Cloud Awards since it began, despite the proliferation of smaller awarding bodies in recent years."

According to Cloud Awards the overall winner for innovation and excellence will be awarded by public votes submitted before February 3. Voting is now open at: www.cloud-awards.com/poll-2014/.
