Pioneer Electronics (USA) Inc. announces that it has named Kiyokazu Igarashi as its new president and COO, effective July 1, 2012. Mr. Igarashi will lead Pioneer’s business operations for branded products in the U.S. region, including car electronics, home electronics, DJ and computer drive products.

“Kiyokazu Igarashi is taking the reins of our U.S. business group at an important and exciting time for Pioneer, as we continue to promote our vision of creating innovative entertainment products that embrace the highly connected lifestyles of our customers,” said Sam Ohdate, president of the Pioneer Americas group of companies. “His extensive experience with both corporate and regional operations will enable him to successfully lead and expand our U.S. sales and marketing efforts.”

A 27 year veteran of Pioneer, Mr. Igarashi joined the company in 1985, and most recently headed sales and marketing operations in Singapore and Malaysia. He holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from Gakushuin University in Tokyo.
