Master magician David Blaine completed his most challenging feat to date, ELECTRIFIED, a performance controlled and enabled by the Intel-inspired Ultrabook™. For 3 days and 3 nights, Blaine stood surrounded by 1 million volts of electricity without food or sleep. For the first time, fans could interact and engage with Blaine during the performance using the Ultrabook, controlling the intensity and direction of the tesla coils.

An estimated 100,000 people attended the performance at Pier 54 in New York and at Ultrabook stations in cities around the world. Five million people worldwide tuned into the event via livestream and online videos.

"I appreciate all the support for my last long-endurance challenge and am excited to get back to doing what I love most …. magic," said Blaine upon completion of the performance.

Of the event, John Tierney of The New York Times said, "David Blaine, the magician and endurance artist, is ready for more pain. With the help a chain-mail suit and an enormous array of tesla electrical coils, he plans to stand atop a 20-foot-high pillar for 72 straight hours, without sleep or food, while being subjected to a million volts of electricity."

A writer at The Vine stated, "The stunt, appropriately called Electrified, is inspired by Intel's latest innovation – The Ultrabook – and is part of a series of events that are, at the risk of sounding simplistic, extraordinary."

Alex Maeland at Hypebeast said, "Despite prepping for one of his craziest displays to date … David Blaine seems surprisingly calm and collected. Taking place at New York's Pier 54, the storied American illusionist has aligned with the Intel's Ultrabook (sic) for the aptly titled, 'Electrified: One Million Volts Always On' – an incredibly impressive three-day and three-night public exhibition of unprecedented proportions."
