If you were born in the 80's then Chris Roberts is a name that really needs no introductions since he created an entire saga of space simulation gamers with Wing Commander being the most famous largely thanks to the live cast used in videos between missions (Mark Hammil and Malcom Mcdowell being the most famous ones). Due to the limited technology however over a decade ago Chris decided to take a break from developing space simulators until the day came where he would be able to do something unique. Well that day has finally arrived and now he is finally back with Squadron 42 and Star Citizen (both are the two sides of the same game basically). The level of detail in this game is quite amazing and it reminds me how i felt when i first played Wing Commander 3 back in 94-95 (if i recall correctly) which was nothing like i had ever seen before. Seeing is believing however so head to http://starcitizen.robertsspaceindustries.com/ to see the trailer of the game along with a few words about it by Chris and do remember to pledge since they need the funding to make it happen.
