INTRODUCTION
TWS (true wireless stereo) earbuds may not be very popular where I’m at but recently there's been a large spike in sales, primarily when it comes to affordable models. Just like with most affordable electronics however the market is currently filled with countless such models, many of which by companies no one has heard of previously so it's only natural that many consumers will have a hard time figuring out what to get. This is partially the reason as to why well-established companies like Silicon Power have begun to design and manufacturer cost-effective TWS models and even though their audio performance leaves much to be desired they do tick boxes other similarly priced models do not. This was clearly the case with the Blast Plug BP81 TWS by Silicon Power but is it also the case with their latest BP82 model?
Founded in 2003 by a group of enthusiastic data storage industry experts, Silicon Power is committed to delivering outstanding product and service quality. Unlike the BP81 TWS the Blast Plug BP82 model is currently available only in black color and consists by two wireless earphones/earbuds and a charging/storage case. Both earbuds feature exterior LED rings, touch buttons, Bluetooth v5.0 wireless connectivity (10 meters range/2 simultaneously connected devices/up to 8 paired devices in total), support for A2DP/AVRCP/HFP/HSP profiles and AAC/SBC audio codecs, water and sweat resistant design (these however are not IPX5 certified) and tiny lithium-ion rechargeable battery packs (around 40mAh each) which provide them with up to 4.5 hours of talk time and 3.5 hours of music playback and dynamic drivers with a frequency response of 100Hz-20KHz with 91dB sensitivity and 16Ohm impedance. This time over Silicon Power ships the BP82 with a charging/storage case that has a build-in 400mAh lithium-ion battery pack.
