   If free personal time is all but a dream for you and so you're always looking for ways to try and get more a robot vacuum cleaner could be exactly what you need. Yes, robot vacuum cleaners can't do everything since they clean your floors and they can never fully match what a person could do with a broom and a mop but ever since i started using one several years back i can't imagine my daily life without one. Just like with every other segment of the consumer electronics market however it's not quite easy to pick a robot vacuum, not when there are currently countless models available. Now some people do feel that getting one from a well-established manufacturer is a safe bet but if there's something I’ve learned over the years is that smaller ones shouldn't be discarded so quickly. For example, the X600 model by Neatsvor which i reviewed a while back did a very good job (review here), so much that today with me i have its higher-spec brother, the X600Pro model.

   Much like the X600 the X600Pro is also a budget-oriented model, with a slightly better specifications list that is. It still uses the same LDS (laser distance sensor - Lidar v4.0) navigation for 360 degree scanning and real time mapping (paired with SLAM algorithm for improved area mapping and cleaning) and sports the same pressure (doesn't force its way under furniture), anti-fall, anti-collision and edge-cleaning sensors but this time over it’s equipped with a powerful brushless DC motor made by the Japanese NIDEC which is rated for up to 6000Pa of suction power and an 5200mAh lithium-ion rechargeable battery pack (which according to its product page can power the X600Pro for up to 150 minutes – 180 minutes on the box) . Of course, you're also getting dual side brushes, 600ml dust bin, 350ml electronically controlled water bin complete with downward pressure mopping, HEPA filter, WiFi 2.4GHz connectivity and support for smart home integration via voice commands (Amazon Alexa and/or Google Home). Also, unlike the X600 which had its very own app for the X600Pro Neatsvor has used the Tuya Android/iOS app which offers an even higher level of control (includes several functions/commands such as auto-clean, manual control, zone cleaning, virtual wall, restricted area and scheduling). Finally, just like with their other models Neatsvor covers the X600Pro with a 3-year limited warranty.

PACKAGING AND CONTENTS

Just like the X600 the X600Pro arrived inside a plain cardboard box that has a product drawing at the front along with the product name and the company logo.

The product specifications are printed on the right side of the box.

Once again, the X600Pro is wrapped inside a plastic bag and placed inside a formed piece of cardboard with a white piece of foam placed on top.

Aside the X600Pro and its pre-installed dust bin inside the box you'll also find 4 side brushes (2 plus 2 replacement ones), brush & cutter tool, extra HEPA filter with a filter sponge, extra mop cloth, electronically controlled water tank (mop cloth already attached), charging base, charging adapter and the user manual.

THE X600PRO

With a diameter of 330mm and a height of 98mm the glossy black body of the X600Pro is identical to that of the X600 (and pretty much every other robot vacuum in the market).

At the top we find the LDS laser cover, on/off and return home buttons and the Wi-Fi activity LED.

On the right front of the X600Pro we find the on/off power switch along with a power port (for when you can’t use the base).

The bins/tanks are slide in models as seen in the above picture.

Turning the X600Pro over we see the two rubber coated wheels, 3 sensors (anti-fall and edge cleaning), main rolling brush (good quality overall), center wheel and the dual side brushes.

Here you can all see the 600ml dust and 350ml water bins.

With the side brushes attached the time has come to begin testing the X600Pro.

TUYA APP

To control the X600Pro you will need to download the Tuya Android/iOS App and select your product.

The app is compatible only with 2.4GHz WiFi signals so make sure your modem/router is using that.

Adding the X600Pro takes just over a minute.

If any firmware updates are available the Tuya app will inform you.

From inside the settings tab, you can use manual control, clear the current map from memory, set a timer, adjust suction power and water output, adjust the voice feature (increase/decrease volume and change language), check cleaning history, see the current state for consumables, enable/disable DND (do not disturb) mode, check for new firmware updates and check information about the device.

As you can see from the above pictures 3D mapping is quite accurate and in terms of available features you can add zones, perform spot (specified location) cleaning and of course add virtual walls and restricted areas.

TEST RESULTS

Robot Vacuums may be home appliances but they are very advanced ones so I thought about running some tests like I do with most electronic devices. So here you can see the maximum cleaned area during all tests (single pass, start to finish), total battery life (in quiet - standard/balanced - strong/max modes) and noise levels again in quiet - standard/balanced - strong/max suction modes.

CONCLUSION

   The X600 was a good robot vacuum but did leave me asking for more suction power and that’s exactly what the X600Pro delivers on. That’s not all however since thanks to its 6000mAh batter pack even at max+ suction the X600Pro lasts longer than what the X600 did with its suction power set at standard. The powerful new brushless motor by NIDEC is of course a bit noisier than what was used with the X600 but if you need the extra suction power you should have no issue with this. Mop results are also very good, probably due to the pressure feature the X600Pro has (whatever the reason it works great, still i am cautious when it comes to electronically controlled water tanks cause i had one fail on me in the past). Finally, I was glad to see that Neatsvor makes their X600Pro available in both black and white colors, I may not be a huge fan of white but most people seem to be so that was a good move by them.

   Neatsvor currently has their robot vacuum models on sale and so the X600Pro is available for a very tempting price tag set of just USD259.99 (Neatsvor). Price aside the Neatsvor X600Pro also delivers on suction power (vacuuming), mopping and battery life and since there’s not much more one can ask from a robot vacuum it clearly deserves the Golden Award.
