vtoman jump 2200 review b

The Jump 2200 portable power station was a real surprise for me since it’s the only model that had me questioning my results (which Is why I had them performed twice). The issue I had was with its battery capacity, VTOMAN claims that the Jump 2200 has the same capacity as their FlashSpeed 1500 model (1.548Wh) and well, that doesn’t make any sense, not when the former did around 20% better in one of my tests (and between 5-10% in the others). So, my thought was either that I had done something wrong or that VTOMAN is using a different inverter with the Jump 2200 (and after double checking my results and considering that the Jump 2200 needs around 4 hours for a full charge – compared to the 1 hour of the FlashSpeed 1500 model - I can only think of the latter). This of course is not a bad thing since the Jump 2200 produces the best numbers in my charts, to date at least. Again, VTOMAN hasn’t placed the jump starter cable in the bundle and well, I just don’t get it. This should be standard with high-end models like both the FlashSpeed 1500 and the Jump 2200, so I have no clue as to the why they aren’t doing so (especially since that capability is printed in the features list). Noise levels are quite elevated so when recharging the battery, I strongly suggest not being anywhere near it and as for the 2-year warranty I was honestly expecting 5 (2 feels too low).

Currently the Jump 2200 retails for 499Euros inside the EU (VTOMAN) but due to certain market limitations in the USA they’ve released the Jump 1800 instead for USD639.99 (VTOMAN) that has an output of 1800W (3600W peak). Overall, the Jump 2200 may not be the perfect portable power station and the 2-year limited warranty is by no means a lot but it did score higher than every other model in my charts when it comes to battery life and that along with available connectors and protections are plenty for the Golden Award.
