   If there's one thing most people i know are out to buy this time of the year in anticipation of their summer vacations that's portable battery packs since they all know how it feels to have your smartphone and/or tablet run out of juice while on the road or the middle of nowhere without any way of charging it. True some people choose car chargers since they are easier to use and quite cheaper but leaving out the fact that power coming from the cigarette adapter is not very clean for your portable devices there's also the matter of what will you do if your car is nowhere near you. So yes portable batteries are a must gadget if you want to be 100% certain that you will never be left without your smartphone and todays reviews is about one such product the 6000mAh Power Bella AEP-6000BT Portable Power Bank by Adam Elements.

   The Power Bella Portable Power Bank is really nothing we haven't seen numerous times in the past so once again we see a small enclosure housing 6000mAh (22.2Wh) worth of high-quality lithium-ion cells which in turn can transfer to mobile devices via two 5V charging USB ports placed at its base (1A/2.5A). The good news is that unlike the majority of new companies in that specific segment of the market Adam Elements chose rechargeable lithium-ion cells manufactured by Samsung so that alone is enough for us to expect very good results from the Power Bella model. As the name suggests the design of the battery may not appeal to some users and particularly men (although the white/black model is not bad looking) but our primary goal is to see just how good this power bank is and so let's find out just that.

I have to admit that i wasn't enthusiastic about the package in which Adam Elements ships the Bella Power but at least it allows you to see the product from the front.

Along with the Bella Power 6000mAh power bank you will also get a carrying cloth pouch, warranty information paper and a USB to microUSB cable.

THE BELLA POWER 6000MAH

Made out of hard polished plastic and rubber the 33mm thick housing of the Bella Power 6000mAh measures 89mm in length, 48mm in width and weighs 145g.

We wanted to showcase the size of the Bella Power 6000mAh so we placed it right next to its equivalent by LUXA2.

The battery charge LEDs (white) and the start/show current charge button are both placed at the front of the device.

A small sticker on the upper left of the housing informs the consumer about the product factory roll-out date.

Both USB charging ports are placed at the base of the device and can be used both for small portable devices like smartphones and MP3 players (5V 1A) and for larger ones like tablets (5V 2.5A).

The microUSB charging port is located at the top and as you can see is covered with a nice rubber cap.

CONCLUSION

   We usually don't pay much attention to products by virtually unknown and rather small manufacturers like Adam Elements but when a friend told us about their products naturally we were intrigued and so it didn't take long for some to arrive in our office/lab. When the Bella Power 6000mAh portable power bank arrived however i have to admit that i wasn't impressed at least not by its design since although not bad it's not something I’d easily carry around. Not surprisingly however my other half would so like I’ve already mentioned this is a model primarily aimed towards women and not men (although some may like it). In terms of performance however the Bella Power does quite well since after using our usual assortment of smartphones, MP3 players and tablets we calculate that it offers anything between 4200 and 4600mAh of power which for a 6000mAh model is a very good result. The two available USB charging ports is also a fine addition although we haven't seen a model with a single port, at least not recently (still it's nice to have).

   As we speak the Bella Power 6000mAh portable power bank by Adam Elements retails for a price of USD59.99 inside the USA (Amazon.com) and for 38Euros inside the EU (Amazon.co.uk) and so some people will obviously feel disappointed. The reason i say this is because although i believe that inside the EU the price is fine the same doesn't apply for the current price inside the USA so if Adam Elements hopes to compete with the "big" players then i really hope they can cut down the price to a more "appealing" number for a product by a company that has been around for slightly over 2 years. That being said the Bella Power 6000mAh is certainly worth a look if you're out in the market for a high-quality portable power bank (especially if you're a woman).
