THE PURE ROCK

As mentioned earlier the Pure Rock features a medium size heatsink measuring 155mm in height, 121mm in width and 62.5mm in depth with a weight of 514g.

The company name is placed at the top fin (quite thicker than the others).

The heatsink has a total of 48 thin aluminum fins.

Part of the fins is bend inwards on both sides in order to keep air trapped inside the heatsink.

Four 6mm all-copper heatpipes leave the base of the cooler and pass through all 48 fins.

Be Quiet! ships the Pure Rock with a pre-applied layer of thermal conductive material on the base.

Since however we don't use the stock thermal conductive materials we decided to take a look at the base.

The Pure Wings 2 fan features a 4-pole motor and can spin up to 1500RPM to produce up to 87CFM of airflow with just 19.2dBA of noise.

With the fan mounted the Pure Rock measures 87.5mm in depth and weighs 644g.
