crucial 32gb 6400 cl32 oc gaming review b

6400MT/s may not seem high enough at first glance but thanks to its very low CAS latency of 32 the DDR5 Pro OC Gaming dual-channel kit produced very good results across the board. Overclocking potential is not quite as high as I’d want it to be (at least up to 1.4V – people who enjoy overclocking can easily push the kit much higher until they hit 1.45/1.5V) but 6800MT/s is a good result (at CL32). Unfortunately, the release of this kit also carries a bittersweet note since Micron has announced it will exit the Crucial consumer business, with production ending in early 2026. That reality makes the DDR5 Pro OC Gaming Kit not just a capable upgrade, but one of the last opportunities to experience Crucial’s legacy in the DIY gaming space, a fitting finale for a brand that has shaped the memory and storage market for nearly three decades (that being said, I doubt it will take very long for us to see Crucial products once again).

Currently the Pro OC Gaming 32GB 6400MT/s CL32 Dual-Channel kit by Crucial retails for USD347.99 inside the USA (Amazon.com) and for 379.99Euros inside the EU (Amazon.de) and with things going the way they’re going it’s a safe bet these prices will not last long. Cost aside however these are the fastest DDR5 RAM Crucial has released to date (and it seems for a long time to come) and since they go head to head with a lot faster dual-channel kits the Golden Award is in order.
