INTRODUCTION

Before the hardware components define performance, the PC case defines the environment they live in. Airflow direction, structural rigidity, spacing and layout choices decide the whole experience. GAMEMAX's N80 Midi Tower tries to strike a balance between openness and practicality. It promises a simple, breathable layout without unnecessary complications.

GAMEMAX stands as a premier brand renowned for its specialization in high-quality gaming PC peripherals. Our gaming peripherals are crafted with cutting-edge design and adhere to top-tier production standards, establishing them as highly esteemed choices among high-end DIY enthusiasts and gaming communities within the industry. GAMEMAX places a strong emphasis on eco-friendly technology, actively promoting and practicing environmental responsibility. GAMEMAX is dedicated to delivering the best gaming experience for all gaming enthusiasts, and will continue to innnovate and grow to fulfill our promise.

A chassis built around a wraparound tempered‑glass design, the GAMEMAX N80 focuses on openness, airflow, and component clearance. It supports ATX, Micro‑ATX, and Mini‑ITX motherboards, with GPU clearance up to 415mm and a dual‑chamber layout that separates the PSU (up to 170mm in length) and drives for cleaner thermals. The case ships with six 120mm PWM/ARGB fans pre‑installed (9x120mm or 6x120mm and 2x140mm total supported), delivering what GAMEMAX describes as 270° cooling coverage. Radiator support includes right (240mm) and top mounting (240/360mm) whereas CPU support is set at 175mm (height). Storage options include 2x3.5" bays and 2x2.5" SSD mounts, while the modular internal structure aim to simplify cable routing and showcase hardware through the curved glass panel. Dimensions come in at 530x240.5x439mm, giving the N80 enough internal volume for high‑end components without feeling oversized on a desk.

SPECIFICATIONS AND FEATURES

PACKAGING AND CONTENTS

gamemax n80 review 1t

GAMEMAX uses a plain cardboard box to ship the N80 in that has a product picture at the front and rear right under their logo (unfortunately the sample was shipped with tape on all sides).

The main product features along with the model name are printed on both sides (more tape).

Typically, the case arrived wrapped inside a plastic bag and placed between two thick foam spacers.

Inside the N80 GAMEMAX has placed a remote control, 6 cable ties and 3 bags with screws and standoffs.

THE N80 EXTERIOR

Measuring 530mm in height, 439mm in depth and 240.5mm in width/thickness the N80 is both sufficiently large and good looking.

The dual chamber design is a good feature (one we see more and more lately) and as for the tempered glass panel it extends from the left side and up to the front.

The I/O is also located on the left side and includes a USB-A 3.2 port, USB-C port, 3.5mm headphone out/mic in and the power on/off button.

Even though the tempered panel looks great what stands out at the front is the lower chamber perforation.

The top cover is an extension of the right-side panel so it can be removed as well.

Beneath it we find a magnetic dust filter and the fan/radiator mounting bracket.

Turning the case around we find the rear 120mm ARGB fan, 7 PCI expansion slots and the PSU area.

The N80 sits on 4 round feet and has a magnetic dust-filter at the base.

THE N80 INTERIOR

For a midi tower the interior of the N80 is quite spacious.

What really stands out about this case is its airflow levels produced by the two left 120mm ARGB fans (can mount an 240mm radiator here), the three 120mm ARGB fans placed on the PSU chamber and of course the rear 120mm ARGB fan.

The motherboard tray has a total of 12 holes for cable routing, plus the CPU cutout.

Taking a look on the right side we find yet another magnetic dust-filter (behind the two left 120mm ARGB fans), 10-way fan hub, two 2.5” SSD mounts, drive cage with two 3.5” drive trays and the PSU area.

BUILDING THE SYSTEM

As always, the purpose of this section is not to build a functional system but rather to showcase what you can expect from the case at hand in terms of interior space.

With enough room for up to 170mm long power supply units you should be able to easily fit most current models.

The interior is quite spacious so ATX motherboards leave plenty of space around them.

175mm height clearance for CPU coolers should allow you to install most models in the market today.

There are two good news when it comes to radiators, first that at the top you can mount even an 60mm thick one and that the left radiator doesn’t produce issues with GPUs (as long as it’s up to around 25-30mm in thickness).

With room for up to 415mm long graphics cards you should be able to fit anything inside the N80.

NOISE LEVEL TEST

dba

After giving it much thought we decided on performing noise tests with each PC Case we receive by placing our ExTech HD600 vertically on top of each case to measure the noise levels emanating from the pre-installed fans at both 50% and 100% with the help of a fan controller (if the case doesn't have one, we use our own).

CONCLUSION

gamemax n80 review b

The N80 by GAMEMAX wraps up as a case that leans heavily on visual impact and straightforward airflow, pairing its curved glass design with a semi‑spacious interior that’s easy enough to work in despite the dual‑chamber layout. The rear fan hub keeps cable clutter under control, and the six included ARGB fans push a healthy amount of air through the chassis, giving the system consistently low temperatures even under load. The trade‑off is noise since at full speed the fans are quite loud, a reminder that GAMEMAX prioritized airflow over acoustics. Still, for builders who value strong cooling, clean presentation, and a layout that doesn’t fight them, the N80 delivers a balanced package that looks more premium than its price suggests.

Currently retailing for 187.55Euros inside the EU (Amazon.de – 10Euro voucher available as of now) the N80 Midi Tower by GAMEMAX is priced a bit higher than expected. That being said however it does deliver on looks, interior space and airflow levels so if you’re looking for a PC case that combines all of these you should give the N80 by GAMEMAX a chance.
