INTRODUCTION
How many hours per day or per week do you spend sitting in a chair in front of a PC screen either working or gaming? I spend the better half of my day doing so and thus I’ve learned the hard way just how important it is to own a good and ergonomic chair. Now we all know that ergonomic chairs are not miracle workers and at the end of the day they just provide better support for our bodies but even that small detail can be the difference between a healthy life and severe back issues (including spinal misalignment, joint pain, neck pain and others). Unfortunately good ergonomic chairs are not what most people would even consider as being affordable so some PC peripheral manufacturers took it upon themselves to bridge the gap between regular desk/office chairs and ergonomic ones by releasing models based on sport bucket car seats and branding them as gaming chairs. The Swedish Arozzi is one such manufacturer and today with us we have their ENZO Black gaming chair.
Arozzi is a Swedish company founded in 2013. Arozzi gaming chairs are built in the spirit of Esports and feature ergonomic design with high levels of comfort. Our products have a refined aesthetic that draws inspiration from the world of motorsports. Each Arozzi chair can be finely adjusted to your needs to ensure you are in the best position to achieve your next victory, whatever the game!
The Enzo series may be one of the very first gaming chair lines released by Arozzi (launched alongside the Monza and Torretta ones) but still that doesn't mean it's lacking in features since its models offer high quality synthetic PU leather cover, adjustable height, 12 degrees rocking/tiltable seat function, large and thick padded armrests, class-4 gaslift capable of holding up to 120Kg (actually even more but the construction of the Enzo is limited at 120Kg) and 5 durable nylon twin-wheels. Arozzi also currently offers the Enzo series in black, black & blue, black & green, black & orange, black & red and black & white color combinations which i think are just enough to cover if not all then at least most consumers out in the market. So is this the gaming chair which you should consider getting for your home or office? Let's find out.
SPECIFICATIONS AND FEATURES
PACKAGING AND CONTENTS
Arozzi ships the Enzo inside a large cardboard box that has their logo on both sides.
The box dimensions and weight (also the weight of the chair) are printed on the left side of the box.
Each piece of the Enzo chair is wrapped inside thick protective bubble bags.
Included in the box are the all-black base with its 5 twin-wheels, class-4 gaslift with its cover, height adjustment mechanism, 2 armrests, seat, backrest, 12 screws, 8 washers, 8 plastic overs, Allen key and the installation instructions.
ASSEMBLY
Once again to assemble the chair we start from the base so here we just need to push the 5 twin-wheels in the holes.
The nylon twin-wheels are very sturdy but still not as good as the ones used with the Nitro gaming chair we reviewed a while back.
After that you just need to place the class-4 gaslift in the center of the base and then drop the plastic cover over it.
Next step is to secure the backrest onto the seat and then the two armrests as seen above.
Each armrest is secured with the seat and backrest via 4 Allen screws so there are 4 openings on each side.
You can use the 8 plastic covers/taps to cover all of them.
Mounting the height adjustment mechanism comes next and since its front is tagged that's not hard to do.
FINISHED LOOKS
The end result is very good although i do miss the support pillows/cushions found in other gaming chairs.
As you can all see stitching is very good and so is the quality of the synthetic PU leather used.
Aside placing it on the exterior of both armrests Arozzi has also placed their logo at the rear of the chair.
CONCLUSION
Since the Enzo gaming chair sits at the bottom of the product line offered by Arozzi currently (right next to the Monza series) it doesn't carry certain features we liked when testing the Nitro gaming chair by AK Racing such as an metal frame for increased durability and safety and an adjustable backrest for optimal comfort. Unlike the Nitro gaming chair the height of the armrests is also fixed but we did like the overall design, stability, quality and size more compared to those especially since they are far more comfortable so kudos to Arozzi for that. Quality is also very good and that applies for both stitching and the PU leather used while in terms of size the Enzo is slightly shorter in length (510mm/560mm) and height (760mm/920mm) also compared to the Nitro gaming chair (so if you are a large person another gaming chair by Arozzi may be more suitable). Overall the Enzo may not reach the quality and comfort levels we experienced when testing the Nitro model by AK Racing but price also plays a huge role so let’s check and see just how much you need to pay for it.
There are many stores currently that carry all Arozzi gaming chair series but you can also get them directly from Arozzi HQ in Europe for a price of 179Euros (Arozzi.se). We do however realize that shipping fees from the EU to the USA might be just a tad high so readers living there can also get it for a price of USD199.99 (Amazon.com). At the end of the day the Enzo gaming chair by Arozzi may not be as impressive as the Nitro by AK Racing or the Vernazza by Arozzi but it’s still a very good gaming chair that costs roughly 30% less and that means it’s well worth our Golden Award.
