THE M248
With the fan folded the M248 measures 102mm in length, 88 in width and 36mm in height.
The fan part is made by plastic and increases the height of the M248 to 105mm.
On top of the device, we find 4 SSD slots (1 source, 3 target), power LED, 4 cloning percentage LEDs and the clone button.
FIDECO has used an 11-bladed 70mm fan that spins at 2500RPM.
At the rear of the enclosure we find the drive erase button, on/off switch, USB-C port, DC in and the fan on/off switch.
Aside the fan the rest of the enclosure is made of aluminum and the base actually looks like a heatsink.
To test the M248 cloning function I used two NVMe PCIe SSDs (2/4TB) while for external dock tests I used a total of 4 (1TB each).
Above you can see the thermals of the M248 without the 70mm fan spinning while the source SSD is being cloned onto the target one.
Having enabled the 70mm fan we see a maximum temperature drop of 12.4 Degrees Celsius.
