CONCLUSION

   I must have reviewed every single CLOUD headset ever released by HyperX (minus the Mix model) and after testing it for 2 full weeks i feel that i need to point out that the CLOUD II Wireless has been the most comfortable one, at least to date. Yes, it has the same exact weight as the CLOUD II Pro but for some strange reason it just feels lighter and so when you put it on it’s almost like you didn’t. Needless to say, audio quality is also very good with accurate mids and highs and even a good amount of bass (when used with the proper material) making ideal not only for gaming and watching movies but also listening to music. Now I can’t say that I was impressed by its 7.1 virtual surround sound when watching 4k movies but it does a very good job in games so I’m sure many out there will find it extremely handy. The NGenuity software once again feels a bit “lite” with the limited number of options it offers but to some people that may not be a bad thing. When it comes to range and battery life well, I was able to use it from 7 meters away and a thick concrete wall in between and for up to roughly 24 hours at almost maximum volume (which is a fine number for any wireless headset). Exactly like with past models the performance of the detachable boom microphone is not going to blow you away but it’s still among the best I’ve encountered in that price range.

   At USD149.99 inside the USA (Amazon.com) and 137.90Euros inside the EU (Amazon.de) the CLOUD II Wireless Gaming Headset by HyperX is priced exactly how it should be. Yes, the CLOUD line of gaming headsets by HyperX may still lack the ARGB LEDs found in some other models but the CLOUD II Wireless delivers everywhere that matters from audio clarity, 3D positioning and build quality to superior comfort, range and battery life and for that it deserves the Golden Award.
