logitech g pro x superlight 2 review b

As mentioned earlier it's been a long time since I had a peripheral here by Logitech and well the Pro X Superlight 2 was a nice surprise (especially since this is the version with the updated firmware – specifications - and not the one unveiled in late 2023). Unfortunately, I never did get the first Superlight model so there's no way for me to do a direct comparison but the Superlight 2 delivers where I wanted from size, form/design and primary button performance to tracking speed and accuracy and battery life. Needless to say, for me 44K DPI is not a number I can use (some people might) so for the most part I used less than half but regardless of that remember to play around with the available surface modes inside the settings tab for optimal results since not all behave the same. Also do keep in mind that battery life is largely dependent on polling rate and so from 4kHz and around 35-36 hours if you go all the way up to 8kHz you will have around 20-21 hours of battery life with a full charge (good news is that the Pro X Superlight 2 charges fast, just 90 minutes for 0-100%). The zero-additive PTFE feet feel like they may not last long so that could be a problem for people who sit in front of their PCs for many hours per day, but I can’t say that this is something I haven’t seen in the past (and they do include replacements in the bundle so that’s something). The new HUB software by Logitech G is very easy to navigate and use so that also was a nice surprise for me (that it’s also backwards compatible with old Logitech devices is also a plus as is the ability to download custom profiles from the Logitech G community).

At the time of this review the Pro X Superlight 2 Wireless Gaming Mouse by Logitech G retails for USD133.99 inside the USA (Amazon.com) and for 122.86Euros inside the EU (Amazon.de) so it’s priced as expected for one of the best models Logitech G has. Again, I can’t really compare the two Superlight models, so I don’t know how the first performed (thus I can’t say whether or not the first is worth buying now – retails for roughly USD40/40Euros less) but overall, I was pleased with the performance of the Pro X Superlight 2 and for that the Golden Award is in order.
