High performance and quality usually come at a high cost something that stands true about everything in the market and so the more you are willing ti spend on something the better it's going to be. For people however who are not willing or just can't spend a lot on something price/performance comes to play and luckily, we live at a time when there are plenty manufacturers out there behind such products. Majority is among those manufacturers and today I'm testing one of their most popular products currently, the D40X Bluetooth Bookshelf Speakers.

Founded by two friends from Cambridge in 2012, Majority has gone on to become an Amazon best-selling brand with a device in over three million homes across the globe. From the very beginning, founders, Eddie Latham, and PJ Scott’s focus has been to use ground-breaking technology to deliver quality consumer electronics at an affordable price. “Our goal has always been inclusivity” Latham and Scott use their years of know-how to continue to build a brand that designs products for a variety of budgets.

The DX40 2.0 stereo speakers are currently available in black color, feature cabinets partially made out of wood and are based on two 1" (25mm) silk diaphragm tweeters, two 4" (101mm) full-range drivers with nano-Kevlar composite cones and dual built-in digital audio amplifiers. Total power output is set at 70W (35W per speaker) and as for connectivity the D40X feature Bluetooth v5.3, aux, optical, 3.5mm headphone output and both an SD card slot (maximum supported capacity is 64GB) and a USB port for media playback (support MP3, WMA, FLAC, MAV and APE file formats). Finally aside the audio controls located on the main speaker Majority also bundles a small remote with their D40X.
