CONCLUSION

The Vantrue N4 Pro S lands in a strong position for drivers who want broad coverage, reliable hardware, and genuinely useful day‑to‑day features. Its very good front‑camera, powered by a STARVIS 2 sensor, delivers sharp, confident 4K footage in most lighting conditions. The inclusion of a rotatable interior camera adds flexibility for rideshare drivers or anyone who wants adjustable cabin coverage, while the three‑channel setup provides a level of situational awareness that single or dual camera systems simply can’t match. Installation remains straightforward, the N4 Pro S features auto on/off even when powered by the cigar socket and the easy to remove mount makes it very easy for end users to take the camera down when the car is parked (if they are afraid someone may break in to steal it). The onboard buttons offer direct control when needed, and the companion app fills in the rest with easy access to settings and footage. Support for microSD cards up to 1TB is another practical advantage, especially for multi‑channel recording at high bitrates. The built‑in LCD screen rounds out the package, making alignment and quick checks painless. That said, the N4 Pro S isn’t without compromises. The main camera’s size is on the larger side, which may be noticeable on smaller windshields. While the physical buttons work well, a touchscreen interface would have elevated usability, especially during use (for example focus on a specific camera by just touching that video feed). Also, the rear camera mount feels less robust compared to some competing models. As for Vantrue’s PlatePix technology, while helpful for sharpening plates, it can reduce overall image quality, although the impact is not very significant and probably will not bother most users during the day.
Right now, Vantrue runs a discount on their official page with the N4 Pro S currently retailing for USD307.68/293.91Euros (for 5% extra on top of the already 21% discount use coupon VTNKTK26) and so although certainly not for all, it’s priced well. Overall, I don’t have any serious issues with the Vantrue N4 Pro S, yes, it’s larger than most dash cameras around but that extra size gives you a cabin camera which may come in handy and so the Golden Award is in order.
