INTRODUCTION

Portable power stations are picking up in popularity and that's not something I was expecting to happen so soon, mainly because of their size and of course cost. On the other hand, portable power stations bridge the gap between power banks and generators so it's not strange that people are turning towards them for emergency/backup power. And then you have all those who like going camping and well, due to its massive battery capacity and available ports/connectors a portable power station is the ideal solution, especially if we're talking about 2 or more people. PECRON is a name I didn't know until somewhat recently but since many of you asked me about them today, I'll be testing their popular E2400LFP portable power station model.
PECRON was founded in 2012 with the Belief of “Renewable Is The Future” and the Vision of “Building Up A World That Runs On Green Energy”. We captured market opportunities with a series of marketable outdoor power stations, and started to build our brand image and focused on developing high-quality, efficient and environmentally friendly solutions for customers to access power wherever they go.
The E2400LFP is yet another pure sine wave model with a maximum supported power output of 2400W (4800W peak) and a LiFePO4 lithium-ion battery capacity of 2048Wh (expandable to 8192Wh via 2 extra batteries). The LFP (LiFePO4) battery cells used here have a lifespan of over 10 years, offer up to 3500 charge cycles after which they retain up to 80% of their original capacity and in this model can be recharged up to 100% after around 1.3 hours (1800W max input). Also, thanks to its BMS advanced battery management system the E2400LFP features 6 different protections (overvoltage, undervoltage, overtemperature, short circuit, overload, and real-time monitoring) and as for extra functions it can be used as a UPS (8-20ms typical transfer), features WiFi for app control and comes ready with car jump start cables in the bundle (could come in handy). Just like every other portable battery station the E2400LFP features a real time LCD display and as for available ports the European model sports two AC outlets (2400W), two MPPT DC inputs (32/12V), DC 12V/10A car lighter output, MJ32 port (for extra battery connection), DC5525 12V/10A port, XT60 port (30A), 4 USB-A ports (18W) and two PD USB-C ports (100W & 18W) ports. Finally, as for warranty PECRON covers the E2400LFP with a 3-year limited one (2 year full warranty plus 1 EU support).
