INTRODUCTION
Wireless keyboards have gone through a quiet transformation over the past few years, shifting from “nice to have” peripherals into genuinely refined tools that can anchor an entire desk setup. What used to feel like a tradeoff less cable clutter in exchange for latency, battery anxiety, or inconsistent connections has steadily faded as the tech matured. Modern wireless boards now deliver stable links, responsive switches, multi‑device flexibility, and a level of polish that makes going back to wired feel almost archaic. They’ve become part of a larger movement toward cleaner, more intentional workspaces where performance doesn’t have to be tethered. And with that evolution as the backdrop, today’s review turns its focus to Logitech’s G915 X Lightspeed, a keyboard built to show just how far this category has come.

Logitech’s G915 X Lightspeed brings wireless design built around tri‑mode connectivity, offering LIGHTSPEED 2.4GHz wireless, delivering the low‑latency link Logitech is known for, Bluetooth support for quick switching across devices and wired USB. It uses the company’s GL mechanical switches (available in Linear, Tactile, or Clicky) and supports KEYCONTROL through G HUB for assigning macros, layers, and per‑key functions. The keyboard includes LIGHTSYNC RGB with multiple onboard lighting effects (Fixed, Breathing, Ripple, Color Cycle, and Colorwave) that can be cycled directly from the board, 9 G-Keys, dedicated media controls, slim aluminum top plate (keeps the board rigid) and a smooth aluminum volume wheel. Logitech lists a 25.84 kg CO₂e carbon footprint for this particular model underscoring its sustainability reporting, and as for battery life it can reach up to 800 hours with RGB off (36 hours with Full RGB lighting and 90 hours at 50% brightness).
