logitech 915x lightspeed review b

Three things stand out about the Logitech G915 X Lightspeed, its low profile brushed aluminum housing, available connectivity options (2.4GHz, Bluetooth & USB) and battery life. Yes, the 800 hours of reported battery life with all lighting turned off is not something I could test for during the 3 weeks of testing, but I did manage to surpass 33 hours with RGB lighting at 100% brightness (and that’s a very good number for a full size keyboard). Of course, RGB lighting and even the extra G-keys are also features worth mentioning but let’s face it, those we’ve seen many times in this industry by equally high-end mechanical keyboard models (as are the low-profile keys, although they are not a great fit for me). As for the G-Hub software it’s still among the best in the market but I do feel it could be more streamlined to make it easier for “regular” users to find their way around its settings.

Right now, the G915 X Lightspeed retails for USD189.99 inside the USA (Amazon.com) and for 177.17Euros inside the EU (Amazon.de) and so it lands right in the middle of many similar high-end models in the market. Overall, the G915 X Lightspeed may not be the perfect wireless gaming keyboard but it’s still a very good offering by Logitech and well worth of the Golden Award.
