CONCLUSION

corsair schimitar pro rgbb   Corsair has had a good run in the market (including the gaming peripherals one) and we are reminded about that every time something of theirs arrives in our lab. Now as many of you may already know thanks to its wide body the original Scimitar RGB MOBA/MMO Gaming Mouse featured a very nice grip while the optical sensor used was actually very fast (more than needed in most cases at least) and accurate (glide was also very good). The new Scimitar PRO RGB sports an even better optical sensor not only in terms of speed/DPI (12000 vs 16000) but also in terms of accurate tracking (even if the differences are small here). The Corsair Utility Engine software was a pleasant surprise not only because it offers many options and settings one can adjust but also because of its new and easy to navigate design and because it can be used as central configuration software for other Corsair peripherals. Another pleasant surprise is the 4-zone RGB illumination system which although pretty much identical to its predecessor it still doesn’t fail to impress. As for the key slider mechanism let’s just say that I’m really surprised more manufacturers haven’t used something similar with their MOBA/MMO targeted gaming mice.

With a current price tag set at USD79.99 inside the USA (Amazon.com) and 87Euros inside the EU (Amazon.co.uk) the Scimitar PRO RGB MOBA/MMO Gaming Mouse by Corsair is certainly not for everyone out there. Still considering that its target audience is mainly serious gamers who are looking for the edge when playing only MOBA/MMO games not only in terms of speed and accuracy but also available buttons we all think that the Scimitar PRO RGB delivers on that and that’s why it gets our Golden Award.
